WEEK 55 SWEET, ZINGY AND LOCAL
Hello Hello Hello all you Culinary Wizards!
We have been flying along, happily packaging up orders with lots of love hearts all over. Cooking and eating with much pleasure and gusto. Watching the seasons and dreaming of our summer produce.
It is all the eating and dreaming that has led us onto the hunt for more zing for our store. New this week is a most excellent range of organic vinegar, including the king of all local vinegars from Hazeldean Farm, mighty local honey from the Cathedral Ranges and happy days, we have another variety of soba noodles since our buckwheat ones have been flying out into your homes.
BULK FLOUR FOR ALL!
Well, as we are all baking away (even the kids too) it really is the best feeling to have a bulk bag of flour in the cupboard. 12.5-kilo Australian flour bags are now available at only $30 a bag!
The kids can cook up a storm and there will still be plenty left afterwards. I have to say, this size bag can easily find a spot in the smallest of kitchens. Bakers plain, self raising, bread making and wholemeal varieties available. Bake...bake...bake away!
JILTED BY SILVIA PLATH
My tears like vinegar,
Or the bitter blinking yellow
Of an acetic star.
Gossips late and soon,
And I wear the wry-faced pucker of
The sour lemon moon.
Puny, green, and tart,
Droops upon its wizened stem
My lean, unripened heart.
WHAT'S NEW THIS WEEK
VINEGAR
White wine, red wine, balsamic and apple...our vinegar range is bursting with flavour and ready to zing up your dishes and days.
A special spotlight on Hazeldean Apple Orchard Farms organic apple cider vinegar. If you are going to be using apple cider vinegar you need to be using the best for the highest possible health benefits while supporting our local farmer. Here is a peek at where your apple cider vinegar comes from. A great price from a local producer.
HONEY FOR MY HONEY
It has been a long time coming, and now we have the absolute best Cathedral Ranges Honey in our store! Cold extracted, all from different varieties of local Eucalyptus trees, honey straight from the hives.
Thanks Rob for your great work in our world. Affordability from another wonderful farmer offering local health-filled produce.
Bulk flour, vinegar and honey. Some more great staples to keep us all cooking, growing, healthy and strong!
Much love for the week ahead
